LAFRENIERE PARK AREA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION REQUESTS PROPOSALS FOR FOOD SERVICES AT LAFRENIERE FOOD PAVILION
More Information Available at www.JeffParish.gov/ThePoint
JEFFERSON, LA – The Lafreniere Park Area Development Corporation (LPADC) is requesting proposals for food services at The Pointe at Lafreniere Food Pavilion. Located on a pointe on the shores of the lagoons at Lafreniere Park, The Pointe at Lafreniere will feature four separate restaurant kitchens with a large common dining area with seating and common restrooms.
“We are so excited about this new addition to Lafreniere Park and encourage all food service businesses who are interested to respond,” said Jefferson Parish District 4 Councilwoman Arita Bohanan. “The Pointe at Lafreniere Food Pavilion will provide a family friendly space to enjoy affordable food, drinks and other refreshments to the patrons of Lafreniere Park, which we believe will make the park even more enjoyable for all our residents and visitors.”
The LPADC seeks a diverse collection of food service businesses to operate their own individual concept within one of the four shared spaces of the food pavilion. The primary objective of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is for LPADC to obtain all necessary information that will enable the selection committee to make a well-informed decision choosing who to enter into negotiations with as it relates to the provision of food services at The Pointe at Lafreniere Food Pavilion for an initial term of one (1) year with an option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms.
Visit www.JeffParish.gov/ThePoint to view the RFP, which includes additional proposal specifications and details on how to submit. Completed proposals must be received no later than Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 4 p.m. CST. Proposals received after this date and time will be returned unopened. A mandatory pre-proposal site review will be conducted at the Pointe at Lafreniere Park located at 3000 Downs Blvd. Metairie, LA 70003 on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 10 a.m. CST. UPCOMING EVENTS IN THE PARK
ABOUT LAFRENIERE PARK
Lafreniere Park was once one of the last pieces of large undeveloped acreage in East Jefferson, it has blossomed into a lush, thriving natural green space. With careful planning and vigilant nurturing for over three decades, the park now sports open green spaces, multiple use lawns, fountains, family picnic areas, hills, landscaped gardens, fishing, tot-lots, paths, trails, man-made ecological marsh environment, a championship Frisbee golf course, carousel, soccer, a conference center, and dog park. The children’s spray park is temporally closed.
The marshes and gardens offer educators a wealth of native plant life to use as an aid for teaching students; the open spaces and family picnic areas are enjoyed by all. The conference center has become a meeting place for many garden, homemaker and civic clubs. The park also hosts annual parish celebrations and fire work displays.
